A Trip Back to Nature

Last Sunday, on 15 Jun, we organized a Pulau Ubin Nature Hike, now in its third run. A total of 47 people went for the trip, and we embarked on the Sensory Trail, learning about various plants, herbs, fruits and mangrove habitat. Participants also got to see a quarry with rock formations resembling the Goddess of Mercy and a traditional Chinese Temple. We were also treated to fruits planted by a local resident, and children got to see what it was like to live in a kampung house.

Those who went thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Look out for our next trip to Pulau Ubin in Nov/Dec...

i notice that our zone is very active, you continuously come up with various activities and events and i'm very pleased. Sometimes i do feel like signing up for some events but i wonder if the food catered for the different outings and events is halal. For instance, like a trip on cruise, or the trip to Malaysia or the last mother's day celebration. It would be good if you could indicate on your posters whether or not you do provide halal food and we would feel more welcome to join in such events.

we have discussed and the good way is to call our HOTLINE and enquire. Space on posters sometimes do not give us the luxury. If need be and if it is possible, we can arrange for it. Just like if we have a guest visiting us and was informed in advance of their special diet, we will try and make arrangements as host.
